Where is it located?
Les Bassins du Nouveau Havre
La Cité des Artistes is part of a larger development plan being undertaken by Canada Lands Company (CLC) called Les Bassins du Nouveau
Havre. This innovative mixed-use urban renewal project will be built at the current site of a vacant Canada Post Sorting facility, located along the Lachine Canal in Montreal’s Little
Burgundy district. The new project is bordered by Ottawa Street in the north, Seminaire road in the east, Richmond Street to the west and the Lachine Canal to the south. This is an exceptional
location, for an exceptional project.
At the centre of Montreal’s industrial heritage site, at the foot of the Saint-Gabriel Loch, and facing the beautifully restored RedPath Lofts, this site is ideal for La Cité des
Artistes. Close to the downtown, the Atwater market, the Lachine Canal bike paths and the future site of the Peel Street Tramway, Les Bassins du Nouveau Havre will serve as a demonstration of
a diversified, sustainable mixed-use urban development. The project will include 2,000 units of housing, in addition to commercial and retail space.

The Cité des Artistes will be a new building on a 33 000 sqaure feet lot and will be part of the cultural and touristic afforable pole, located on the west end of the site, between Richmond
street and one of the excavated bassins.
